“Fear” was recorded and produced at Sound of Sirens studios with Toshi Kasai
lyrics
You switch it up
You're walking through the parking lot
I wonder what they're going to have in the cafeteria today
You suck it up
You're walking through an empty hall
I don't even know what's left to worry about today
I posted in the comments and my aunt didn't like it
In real life don't talk about it
In my mind I scream about it
The fear that's inside
The fear that's inside
The fear that's inside
The fear that's inside you
Talk about it talk about it every single day
The fear and the denying, why can't you go away?
(Ou I told you)
Talk about it talk about it every single day
The fear and the lying, why can't you go away?
(Ou I told you)
In real life don't talk about it
In my mind I scream about it
The fear that's inside
The fear that's inside
The fear that's inside
The fear that's inside you

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
Great, wild post-punk from this Chicago duo who wrap bent-wire guitars around lockstep rhythms and wry, sarcastic vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 24, 2021
